Photographer Wall of Fame
After completing the renovation project at my house, I was left with a new decision to make. There was a new, empty wall that was in desperate need of decoration. I knew I wanted to incorporate my love for photography, but was unsure exactly what should go up. At one point I was thinking about my friends that are photographers and how much I appreciate having people to share my hobby with; then it hit me. I asked each of my photographer friends if they would share with me their favorite picture they’ve ever taken. I was clear that I didn’t want their objectively best picture, but their favorite picture. It was meaningful for me to see pictures come together that I knew people I cared about really cared about. The varying styles and subject matter provide a juxtaposition that draws my eye every time I walk through the room. I hope you enjoy their pictures below!
Dexter
His specialty is capturing beautiful cars from every angle. It’s only natural his choice for favorite picture would be a Lamborghini on the highway. Dexter is who really got me interested in photography during our years working together.
Bryan
Some of my greatest memories in photography have been wandering Charlotte with Bryan in search of photos. Looking for those perfect shots with a friend, seeing how our vision for shots differ, and bouncing ideas off one another is such a fun approach to taking pictures.
Courtney
A coworker that shares my love for photography, Courtney also liked taking her camera around downtown Raleigh. Here is a picture she snapped at the pride event on Fayetteville Street.
Jeff
My father is a history and battlefield enthusiast, and this picture is his favorite taken. He takes pride that it has been published in Gettysburg official calendars. Extra pride from when the battlefield rangers asked what camera and lenses he used for the shot and he informed them it was from his iPhone.
Corey
This shot comes from a trip to Iceland to take in the natural beauty. Corey has translated his love for photography into real estate photography and then into his career as a realtor. He continues to use his photography skills to take pictures for all of his listings.
Emma
This snapshot freezes a wine bottle in mid air at the local recycling center. Emma also uses her talents to capture architecture, for which she goes to school.
Kelsey
When not taking pictures of peaceful, intriguing leaves, Kelsey has taken published photos for the local Carolina Hurricanes hockey team.
